alert() replaced with modal
🛠️ Replacing alert() with a Modal
Like a scrub, I was using alert() to display the results of Choices and other activities — without realizing that some browser plug-ins and ad-blockers might have trouble with it. 😅
I have now replaced all uses of alert() with a modal that does the same thing but is not impacted by browser plug-ins. This should result in a smoother experience for everyone, especially those using stricter privacy tools.
Note:
If you’ve loaded the game before, you may need to clear temporary files from your cache and refresh the Scribarchy page to see the changes.
🦊 On Firefox:
Go to History -> Clear Recent History
Uncheck everything except “Temporary Cache Files and Pages”
Click Clear
Thanks for playing — and sorry for the popup spam. 😅
